An efficient storage device has been man’s quest for a long time. He has been long in the pursuit of data storage devices which are efficient and cheap. Both can be used as temporary and permanent storage devices and hence became widely popular. DVDs are no doubt very efficient in storing data but have certain demerits. The DVD is durable but is not completely resistant to breakage. Though care must be exercised while handling them, lesser precautions are required if we were to consider their predecessors.
